Sectors
In 1999-2000, the Project focuses on the oil and high tech sectors, especially firms headquartered in California. Silicon Valley is the global center of the semiconductor and electronics industries and California is home to some of the largest oil companies in the U.S. Moreover, voluntary codes of conduct have been widely adopted in California. The project explores policy leverage at the local and state, as well as national and international levels.
