1. Climate Vulnerability in East Timor and its Implications
The paper presents the results of projections of climate change in East Timor. It considers the implications of these changes on water, soils and the coastal zone. It finds all to be sensitive to climate change and sea-level rise, resulting in reduction in agriculture production, food security and coastal damage.

2. Green Commercial Buildings in Australia: Case Studies
The report presents financial and social benefits of green commercial buildings in an Australian context. It incorporates research and case studies of green developments. It examines challenges and barriers to green commercial buildings in Australia and identifies actions favorable to the transition to green commercial office buildings in Australia.

3. Climate Change Education: Workshop Report
The workshop focuses on ‘seasonality’ – climate change – from cause to impacts on humans, including responses. It introduces participants to climate and related impacts assessments; highlights importance of research on impacts of climate variability and extreme events on seasonality; and discusses the importance of global “climate” in the 21st century.

4. Adaptation in Southeastern South America: Assessment
The paper assesses impacts of future scenarios of climate change on agricultural production systems in Pampas region of Southeastern South America through crop simulation models. These scenarios are based on runs of general circulation models by the Hadley Centre (HadCM3) and include projections under different scenarios and time periods. It also reviews measures that reduce potential negative impacts on maize and soybean production.

5. Climate Change, Adaptation and EU Public Policy
The paper sets out a series of rationales for public policy related to adaptation to the impacts of climatic change in the EU. Five key challenges are identified: information provision and research; early warning and disaster relief; facilitating adaptation options; regulating the distributional impacts of adaptation; and regulating infrastructures.

6. Community-Based Adaptation Workshop: Summary Report
Dhaka, Bangladesh, hosted the 2nd International Workshop on Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change from 24-28 February 2007. Participants shared the latest developments in community-based adaptation programmes, priorities and solutions with a view to integrating the lessons into national and international development programmes. Discussions focused on: climate change science and adaptation, and mainstreaming and partnership.
