Global Asia is a publication of the East Asia Foundation. The East Asia Foundation, established in Seoul in January 2005, strives to promote peace, prosperity, security and sustainability in East Asia by creating an open and creative forum for the exchange of ideas on regional cooperation and integration, among other goals. The Center for Energy Governance and Security (EGS) at Hanyang University is a comprehensive university research institution that conducts research on energy issues and was established with support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and National Research Foundation. Energy governance refers to activities related to understanding overall political, economic and social issues as well as consideration of changes and trends in environment, ecosystems, science and technology to seek energy solutions, policies and technologies.
Northeast Asia Online Peace Forum
This Northeast Asia Online Peace Forum is designed to be utilized by people working on issues of peace and security concerning Northeast Asia. More specifically, it is a mechanism for civil society, including members of the Northeast Asian regional process of the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) to communicate, build consensus, and exchange ideas with one another.
Vietnam Green Building Council
The Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) is a project of Green Cities Fund Inc. (GCF), an international non-profit organisation based in California, USA. It has been active in Vietnam since January 2008 and was officially recognised by the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction in March 2009. The VGBC is part of the World Green Building Council – Asia Pacific Network, partnering with other Green Building Councils throughout the region. The VGBC currently has over 90 members and partners from across civil society, academia, government and the private sector in Vietnam.
