Teacher Orientation

The online resources and activities assembled for the website are appropriate for a range of subjects, including geography, history, economics, environmental science, biology, intercultural studies, global studies, and language arts. To review a summary of the activities included in Virtual Expeditions, choose Activity Guides from the menu on the left.

Within the Activity Guides section you will find instructions on how to facilitate the activities. All of the activities require access to the web, although much of the learning process occurs after students have investigated online resources.

The materials and links contained in the VX Library offer many other opportunities for open-ended learning and discovery. We invite you to create your own learning activities and special projects that guide students through the wealth of online resources found on the site. To help you get started, we’ve provided some guidelines for designing an online learning expedition. Good luck!
