The Nautilus Institute’s Northeast Asia Nuclear Policy Project is examining the status of nuclear forces in the Asia-Pacific region through analysis of nuclear policies and force structures. The purpose of this project is to assess the prospects for nuclear-armed states to meaningfully reduce their reliance on policies threatening the use of nuclear weapons in the Northeast Asia region, and to examine the implications such reductions could have for nuclear nonproliferation worldwide.
The East Asia Nuclear Policy Project will begin issuing special reports concerning regional security issues in East Asia. Check back on this page for web versions of the report and for information about signing up to receive reports via email.
