RAMSI thanks Federated States of Micronesia for police, Media release, RAMSI website, 2 November 2006.

RAMSI Special Coordinator James Batley today thanked the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) for helping a friend through practical support for the regional assistance mission. As FSM marks its national day on 3 November, Mr Batley thanked the Micronesian nation for contributing police to the mission, and acknowledged the generosity of this act in view of the small size of the FSM police force….Two police officers from FSM work as part of RAMSI’s Participating Police Force alongside Solomon Islands police.  The Contingent commander is Kelly Samuel who has been working with SIPF in investigations.  The second officer, Andrew Ratloilug, has worked in Gizo and most recently with the Close Personal Protection unit in Honiara. They are both due to leave at the end of the month and will be replaced by two more officers from FSM.”
