ARI Interns
Han Keol “Paul” Jung
Han Keol majors in International Studies at University of California, Irvine. He was in Korea as an exchange student at Yonsei University when he started working as an intern for Nautilus-Ari, Korea. He is interested in environmental and social issues as well as political issues. His interests grew when he was taking anthropology and sociology courses at UCI. He also enjoys global exchange whether it be cultural or social, and wishes to work at an IGO in the future. He proudly takes his experience of serving as a linguistic specialist of Republic of Korea Army in U.S. Army base as an important asset.
Soyop Baik
Soyop Baik is a law major at Ewha Womans University in Korea. She is interested in international law and international relations, particularly maritime law and maritime court. This interest stems from the role these issues have played in Korea’s history and geography. Soyop is also involved in her university’s horseback riding club, where she has done volunteer work to help rehabilitate autistic children.
Gemma Lee
I`m expected to make wide range of experience. Even many things happen in the world, I couldn`t know which one is right or not. I think that the works in Nautilus can change my thoughts. As my act, I hope my childrens in future grow up healthy and maybe the worlds get better.
Dooroo Lee
Dooroo Lee studies Theology and Asian History at Yonsei University in Seoul, and does research and translation work at Nautilus ARI. She became interested in Asian society and diversified faiths of people while studying in university. She hopes to gain a wider perspective regarding various issues, as her name suggests (Dooroo means ‘extensive’ and ‘wide-ranging’ in Korean!).
